Thanksgiving was great.  Time to spend with family, complete some shopping, put up Christmas lights, decorate the tree, watch football, and give out some hugs.  Love 4 day weekends.  Now back to work!

Letter style for new logo :: Mitch

Existing client CC's Physical Therapy is adding a Feminine Fitness program to her business. I'm designing lettering that will be classy yet edgy for the new logo which will incorporate the existing CC's icon.

New font for logo design :: Mitch

New logo for Providence Ranch Ministries, a foundation where children and horses bond, calls for unique hand-rendered lettering with a supportive icon. A challenge I'm always up for.

We took the whole team to the great Woodhouse yesterday. Burgers, fries and onion rings as we discussed business projects!  Perfect Lunch!

3 tips to prevent spyware :: Kyle

We fix between 5 and 10 computers per week with spyware issues. Here are a few steps you can take to help prevent the spyware.

1. When receiving an email that has just a link to a website in it without any context as to what it is, don’t click on it. Even if it is from someone you know. There is a high probability that it will infect your computer with spyware and send the same link on to people in your email address book.
2.On Facebook, do not click on links to pictures, videos, or anything that makes you curious unless you know that where it is going to take you is safe. An example is if someone posts a link to a video, you should be able to see the website that the link will take you to. For a video you might see www.youtube.com below the title of the video. That would be a safe link to click on. If you don’t know if it is a safe site, then avoid clicking on it.
3.Lately recipe sites have been a common source of spyware. AVG antivirus has a link scanner that when you do a search in google or other search engines, will indicate if it is a known site to infect with spyware. You can download 1 free copy of AVG antivirus for home users at free.avg.com.

If you can follow these tips, you will greatly reduce your risk of getting spyware.

Concepts for Logo :: Mitch

I am working on a new logo concept for a company called Lake Communications. The challenge is to steer the customer away from all sailboat, flags etc. that remind you of lakes.

Right now the direction of water and fiber optics are coming to life.

Esentially, social networking, in relation to getting people to join is not the primary motivation. From Zuckerberg’s perspective, the infrastructure is in place, Facebook is essentially ubiquitous with the public, and now, it’s time to build desired applications on top of the established infrastructure.
